Group Testing

Isaiah 40 will sponsor a group administration of the Iowa Test of Basic Skills for its members on Friday, March 14 and Monday, March 17 from 8 AM – 2 PM, at Colonial Baptist Church. The test is a two day test so you must attend both days.

If you wish to participate, please register your children and pay the testing fee by January 24, 2007.

Under North Carolina law, each home school registered with the Department of Non-Public Education (DNPE) must have a nationally standardized achievement test administered annually to each student at least age 7 and not yet age 16.

Be prepared to help with testing in some way; we are asking parents to share in the workload. One parent from each family must remain on site during testing to help. This could include data entry, proctoring, assistant proctoring, nursery care, hall or playground monitor, etc. Several assistant coordinators & a pizza coordinator are needed to help with preparation & registration.

Lunch on testing days:
On Friday the first day of testing you need to bring a snack & bag lunch and money if you desire to register for the pizza lunch we will have on the Monday test day.

Registration

Your registration needs to include:

  1. The registration form with home & cell phone number.
  2. Verification of Legal Home School & Testing Agreement
  3. Your payment for the test
  4. If you hold a bachelor's degree & can be a proctor, sign & include the Iowa Administrator Pledge Form

You must be a member of Isaiah 40 Homeschoolers to test with our group. Membership forms & requirements can be downloaded HERE. If you are not a registered member of Isaiah 40 you must include the membership form & membership check made out to Colonial Baptist Church (Isaiah 40 membership on memo line) along with your test registration & check (made payable to Carolyn Justice).

The cost of each test is $36 per child.

In Person:

Register at the 2008 Spring S.E.E.K. Registration at the Isaiah 40 Testing Table. Leaders/Members on Monday, January 21st. New Member/Waiting List Registration on Thursday, January 24th.

By Mail

Download the forms then mail to Carolyn Justice. Checks for testing should be made payable to Carolyn Justice & mailed along with registration forms by January 24, 2008 to:
